Canandaigua Airport Receives State Grant for Fuel Farm

After receiving multiple federal grants this summer, the Canandaigua Airport was awarded a $428,000 New York state grant Thursday to install a jet fuel tank and dispenser, Governor Andrew Cuomo stated in a release.   

The grant— from the state’s 2013-14 Transit and Aviation Capital Grants program — will cover most of the $475,000 cost of the tank. According to Mike Manikowski, executive director of the Ontario County Industrial Development Agency (IDA), the tank will be a cost-saver for the airport, and for the people who use the airport.  Read more:
